7:15-7:45pm “What’s Next?” – Resilience-building community discussion

Fauquier High School Auditorium

Warrenton, VA

Join teachers, students, community leaders, and families for an educational evening, learning how to strengthen families and reduce risk factors in our community, and beyond. “Resilience” looks at the birth of the CDC-Kaiser Permanente Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) Study and how it’s spawned a far-reaching movement across the U.S. “Resilience” focuses on the work of pediatricians, mental health professionals, educators, and community leaders, and their plans to address the needs of families by “meeting families where they are,” emotionally, medically, and academically. “Resilience” features interviews with several leaders in the ACEs movement nationally and in communities, including Drs. Robert Anda, Vincent Felitti, Nadine Burke Harris, Victor Carrion, Jack Shonkoff, and David Johnson.

Bring your family, neighbors, and your friends to start an important conversation, taking that first step in a community-wide journey, and find out how together we can all foster and build resilience in our community, one person, one family, one school, one neighborhood, one agency, one business, at a time.

Admission is free and open to the public.
